]]> On 25th May 2024, we had received an information about a missing woman from Sikkim from another NGO named OUR Rescue. The woman’s phone location showed she was in Bhayander (West) and we along with our team were able to track her location within two hours, we kept an eye on her to make sure she does not leave anywhere for the whole night.

And yesterday we, with the partner NGO, the Police and her family went at the traced location to take her.

The woman has been successfully reunited with her family and has left to go to her home in Sikkim by flight with her relative.

]]> We, at Transforming Lives Foundation, came in contact with a major girl who had managed to escape after being forcefully held by a lady in a house for prostitution.
According to the victim, she had been brutally beaten and tortured by the lady on regular basis as she didn’t agree for the work. The victim somehow managed to escape from the lady’s clutches with a lot of difficulty.
When she came in contact with us, we took her to the Police of respective jurisdiction. The lady accused arrested by the Police.

]]> We conducted a successful rescue operation on the 8th of April, 2021, wherein we rescued 4 victims and had initially arrested 1 lady pimp with the help of the Anti Human Trafficking Unit team in Vasai (West). Most of the victims that were rescued were educated and even had Masters and MBA degrees, but were forced into sex work.

So, when asked about this during the post rescue operation procedure the lady accused revealed that she worked under another man who was also her boyfriend and when he was arrested by the Police it was found that he is a Mechanical Engineer.

When talking about their modus operandi it was revealed that they would find the resumes of women on job portals (one of which is OLX). They would then call them for interviews at their Vasai office, and promise them jobs as personal secretaries. Later, they’d morph their photos, and start blackmailing them. Since many of these women did not have jobs, they reluctantly agreed to get into commercial sex work.

The survivors rescued have completed their rehabilitation procedures and are once again back into the mainstream society working in good companies.
